Tanks & Monitoring

How much fuel should I order if I want to fill my tank?
Note: Please note that to allow room for fuel expansion and ensure safe deliveries, oil tanks are filled slightly below their stated capacity. For a 275-gallon tank, the typical safe fill range is 250-256 gallons. We aim to provide the maximum amount within this safe range. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Check your tank gauge
Regardless of whether your heating oil tank is located outside above ground or in your basement, you can check the fuel level by looking at the gauge on top of the tank. This gauge will look similar to the picture shown here.

The gauge will display the approximate amount of fuel remaining in fractions.

Use our convenient chart to calculate how much fuel you will need.

Then go to order fuel and enter amount needed to fill tank.
